BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATION (BCA)
📘 Course Duration
The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) program is of 4 years duration, structured in accordance
with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and university guidelines. The program follows a
flexible multiple exit system designed to support diverse academic and career pathways.
🎯 Multiple Exit Options
📜 Certificate Course:
After successful completion of 1 year (Semesters I & II) along with the required additional 4 credits
as per NEP norms, the student will be awarded a Certificate.
🎓 Diploma Course:
After successful completion of 2 years (Semesters I–IV) along with the required additional 4 credits,
the student will be awarded a Diploma.
🏅 Bachelor’s Degree:
After successful completion of 3 years (Semesters I–VI) along with the prescribed credits,
the student will be awarded a Bachelor’s Degree (BCA).
🔬 Bachelor’s Degree with Research (Optional):
After successful completion of 4 years (Semesters I–VIII) with the required research component and credits,
the student will be awarded a BCA Degree with Research.
📌 Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the BCA program is open to candidates who have successfully passed the
10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Admission is granted as per the norms and guidelines prescribed by:
- Sant Gahira Guru University, Ambikapur
- Government of Chhattisgarh
- AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)
