The Department of Botany has a well-equipped laboratory that supports effective teaching, practical training, and research-oriented learning in various areas of plant sciences. These instruments are utilized for conducting practical experiments related to plant anatomy, physiology, taxonomy, microbiology, biotechnology, biochemistry, and environmental studies as prescribed in the NEP 2020 curriculum.
The department emphasizes practical training in microscopy, slide preparation, plant tissue studies, microbial techniques, biochemical analysis, and identification of plant species. Students are also trained in scientific observation, data recording, analysis, and laboratory safety practices.
The laboratory provides a disciplined and research-oriented environment that supports project work, demonstration-based learning, and skill development activities for undergraduate students.
